    Educating our local Beavers

At the beginning of March, one of our Animal Welfare Officers visited the 28th Willesden Beavers as part of our education outreach programme.

Animal Welfare Officer Tania gave a presentation to the Beavers about dog and cat care, and discussed elements of safety around dogs.

We believe that education is instrumental in improving animal welfare. By taking our educational initiatives out to the local community, we help decrease the chances of neglect, abandonment and cruelty.

The children and their families kindly donated blankets and towels for our animals at Mayhew, and left knowing a bit more about animal handling and care.

    Community Education

We run a number of educational programmes and visits for young people, with the intention of reducing cases of abandonment and cruelty through greater education and awareness of animal care and welfare.
