    Cupcake

Cupcake is a sweet chocolatey coated Persian, looking for a chilled home where you can indulge in her friendly head bumps and really get to know each other. She is a bit shy at first, but she has come from a home, and is now getting used to cattery life with us. She is slowly figuring things out and making new friends as she gets into her new routine. She is sociable and likes to survey her kingdom from on high and when she feels safe will give you a nose-to-nose sniff and look longingly at your lap. Because she is a little bit shy she would probably be fine to live with older teenagers as she will give you a hiss or a low grumble if she is worried. So, if Cupcake sounds scrumptious, keep reading to see if you could be her purr-fect match and give her the fur-ever home she deserves…

    Other Notes

Cupcake arrived at Mayhew in mid April after her owner was no longer able to care for her in the long term. She has now been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and has also been given preventative treatment in the form of neutering, vaccinations (at least first) and flea and worming treatment by our veterinary team and was previously microchipped before arriving. Like every cat adopted from Mayhew she will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance and during her stay has been treated for some feline acne on her chin. The extent of this care involves keeping her chin clean by using hibi scrub or just some cooled down boiled salty water 2-3 times a week. It's advised you use ceramic bowls to feed and drink from as well. Other than that she has had her ears cleaned and we noted a few small scabs on her skin which was of no concern to our vets. Cupcake is a Persian meaning she is Brachycephalic (squished face). This needs to be considered when taking on a cat like Cupcake so looking into the needs of her breed is advised and if you are already familiar with them, then that would just be a happy bonus. She really just needs a relaxed home where she can find her spot next to you on the sofa and live her best life.
