Bear & Blue are definitely two cats that light up a room and need to find a home together. If you like double trouble you've come to the right place and it's Blue who is the leader of the pack (Regardless of what Bear may have you believe). She loves to chirp and play and is quite a friendly little lady once she gets to know you. You can usually find her curled up in bed waiting for Bear to join her who is the talker. His gift of the gab is legendary, so much so that he likes to meow at every single cat he passes and then goes running back to Blue the moment she calls. This intelligent pair would be better suited to experienced adult cat owners as they need people who are able to give them the space they need if overwhelmed and understand cat behaviour to give them what they want. So if you want to introduce Bear and the big Blue to your house, keep reading to see if you could be their purr-fect match and give them the fur-ever home they deserve...
Bear & Blue arrived at Mayhew at the end of March after there were just too many cats in the home for their owner to cope with. They have now been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given preventative treatment in the form of microchipping, neutering, vaccinations (at least first) and flea and worming treatment by our veterinary team. Since coming to Mayhew, Bear has been a bit frustrated and has been redirecting some of that towards people. We've since been able to give him some more space to roam and his behaviour has improved a lot and now he has since become a curious snuggle bug. Enrichment toys and puzzle feeders are recommended as keeping them stimulated will be key to a happy home. Having a garden and cat flap fitted will also help them settle (Bear in-particular) as they get to know their new home. Bear is about a year older than Blue and is her father.
