    World Animal Day 2024

Every day, countless dogs and cats are abandoned.
At Mayhew, we believe every animal deserves a safe and loving environment.

This World Animal Day, we’re thanking our supporters for helping us continue our vital work.

We’ve put together a film from some of our animals, sharing their stories, which you can watch here: A thank you from Mayhew animals

You too can help by sponsoring a cat cabin or a dog kennel for just £10 a month. Your ongoing support will help to provide the love and care they desperately need.

Read on to hear from Niko, Bertie and She-ra, who have much to be grateful for…

    Niko says:

"I was abandoned at 11-years-old and in pain from my sore, infected paws. I received the help I needed, and now I get to sleep in a warm and comfortable bed every night."

    She-ra says:

"I was abandoned outside by the bins with my carrier door left open by a busy road. With nowhere else to go, Mayhew have taken care of me and helped me to feel safe again."

    Bertie says

"Just a puppy, I was found wandering the streets alone and very scared. Mayhew taught me how it feels to be loved, as well as preparing me for a forever home."
