We were delighted to welcome Councillor, Regan Hook from the City of Westminster to Mayhew in March.
Councillor Hook was given a tour of the Home by Elvira, our Chief Executive, and Lisa, our Head of Operations. This included a visit to our clinic, kennels, and cattery. Plus a special trip to the kitten block where our littlest residents live!
We were able to speak with Councillor Hook about the impact of our vital community initiatives, such as our Pet Refuge programme, the Pet Support Hubs we run, and the help we give to homeless pets and their people.
Our Pet Refuge programme provides short-term shelter and care for the pets of people facing crisis. Whether that be an ongoing issue or an unexpected emergency, for up to 3 months.
Outside of our Home, our Community Animal Support Team also work tirelessly to help people in the community through food banks, as well as directly, through individual care packages and more.
Councillor Regan Hook shared: “It was great see the great work of the Mayhew first hand.
