Vikings Star Adopts from The Mayhew

Former EastEnders and Vikings star, Ivan Kaye, has adopted the purrfect companion, a black male cat called Kato from The Mayhew Animal Home.

The well-known actor took an instant shine to the three-year-old, who was found as a stray and was later brought into The Mayhew.

Kato, who enjoys sitting on laps, being stroked and having his tummy tickled, has suffered with ongoing gingivostomatitis, which is the inflammation of the gums and oral tissues, but is now currently under control after having some teeth removed.

Ivan Kaye said: “We just bought a new house and this felt like the right time to add a new addition to our family – a new start!”

“I already knew about The Mayhew as I live locally, so I had a look on their website and discovered Kato.”

“I fell in love with him straight away, he is a feisty character, but that’s what I love about him. We can’t wait to take him home and we are looking forward to spending some quality time with him.”

We are so pleased to see Kato find the purrfect home that he truly deserves!
