Her challenge begins in Richmond on the morning of Saturday 24th May and will end on Sunday 25th May in Brighton. Laura and her partner John will be walking through the night in order to complete the challenge.
“I work in the Veterinary Clinic at the Home in London as one of the nurses. I absolutely love what I do and what the charity does as an organisation” said Laura.
More than just a rescue and rehoming centre, The Mayhew works all year to promote responsible pet ownership and support people to ensure all animals are healthy and happy.
“In the clinic we provide round the clock veterinary care for all the animals that come into The Mayhew, but we also offer a number of community based services for outpatients too including free and low cost neutering and nurse’s clinics.
“I have taken part in a number of fundraising events previously and I am really excited about this next challenge, particularly as it is for a cause so close to me. I have seen first-hand how far compassion and kindness goes, and nothing beats seeing an animal in need recover and find a loving new home – which I am lucky to experience on a daily basis thanks to all the people who support The Mayhew. We are hoping to raise £750 in sponsorship to help us continue the amazing work that the charity does!”
