    Thank you Willesden Green Sainsburys!

Shoppers and staff at Sainsbury’s in Willesden Green have chosen The Mayhew Animal Home as its local charity partner for the next year.

They also presented a cheque for £4232.42 to The Mayhew Animal Homes’ Tracey Addison, on September 1. The money was raised through collections, bag packs by local school children and the previous deputy manager, David McAdam, taking part in a marathon.

Tracey said: “A big thanks to Sainsbury’s for giving this money to The Mayhew to help our animals. We are thrilled that Sainsbury’s has chosen to support us in 2014/15.

“We look forward to working together over the coming year to make sure the pets get the better life they deserve.”

Store manager, Wayne added: “It’s great that Sainsbury’s staff and members of the community have chosen The Mayhew as our charity partner for the next year. We look forward to raising more funds so they can continue the vital work they do to save the lives of abused and neglected animals.”

The donation sits alongside the considerable amount of food and drink supplied by Sainsbury’s to The Mayhew for its events, including Open Day, Tinsel & Tails and Hyde Bark.
