Thank you from Mayhew this World Animal Day

Today is World Animal Day (4th October) and we wanted to take this opportunity to thank all of you – from all of us at Mayhew and the dogs and cats that we care for, both in London and overseas.

Sherine Wheeler, Mayhew’s Chief Executive, has recorded a short video to personally say thank you: whether you volunteer, foster, donate, partner, sponsor or work for Mayhew, we cannot support the dogs, cats and communities in London and overseas without you.

In 2023, we have seen a huge surge in demand for our services, with requests from pet owners to give up their dogs increasing by 66%, and the same figure for cats at 96%.

Thanks to you, so far in this year, we have been able to deliver more than 600 treatments and 1800 vaccinations from our clinic in the heart of north-west London and rehome more than 240 cats and 40 dogs, while overseas our teams have vaccinated more than 12,000 animals and neutered more than 6,000 – and there are still the autumn and winter months to come!

This World Animal Day, your support for dogs, cats and communities means more than ever. Thank you.
