I am the Clinic Receptionist and Administrator, and I have been here for just shy of six months.
In the morning, I prepare the admissions paperwork and welcome the dogs and cats, (and their owners of course) who arrive for their neutering procedures. If it is a vaccination clinic, I prepare the record cards and appointment list. Then I ensure people are booked in when they arrive and that their accounts are cleared once they have been in to see the vet on duty. The rest of the day is usually spent answering calls and emails, and dealing with orders for food and medication.
I love that I get to meet awesome animals every day, and work with people who are passionate about helping every one of them.
Don’t tell my cats, but I am definitely a dog person! They have an incredible lust for life and an innate ability to spread joy, you just can’t beat that.
I have three cats at home called Ivan, Sam, and Whiskers. Whiskers definitely rules the roost. The boys think they have had a good day if they can get from their basking spots in the garden to their basking spots on the bed without getting bopped on the nose. I also have a Border Collie named Rory. He is part contortionist, part big floppy tongue and completely obsessed with bubbles.
I have recently taken up swing dancing, which is so much fun! I am a season ticket holder for Millwall, so I spend a lot of time watching them play football, and I love to craft and spend time trying to grow things (often unsuccessfully).
