Mayhew Team Skydive a soaring success

On Sunday 13 July, a team of Mayhew staff took to the skies in a sponsored skydive to raise vital funds for Mayhew.

The team included four brave staff members across our vet clinic and community animal support teams. Supporting a cause close to their hearts, the team have raised over £2,800 so far, which will all go towards helping dogs, cats, and communities.
Our Community Animal Support Officer, Amber Stocker-Charles – who came up with the idea – says,

“Every year I like to try and participate in some sort of charity fundraising around my birthday time.  I am an absolute thrill-seeker, and I thought this year why not take on a big challenge and go for a skydive... jumping out of a plane felt like a bold way to match the amazing work done at Mayhew.  I was surprised that other people were interested in joining me on the jump and decided to make it a bigger fundraising event for Mayhew. What started as a personal challenge has grown into something so much more, with amazing support pouring in and turning one leap into a shared mission of compassion!”

We’re so proud of them for bravely taking the leap, all to raise funds for Mayhew so we continue our essential work in caring for dogs and cats (and their humans) who desperately need our support.
