Mayhew publishes Annual Review for 2022

Today Mayhew launches its 2022 Annual Report and Accounts. As for many charities, 2022 presented challenges for Mayhew.

We saw soaring demand for our services and a significant dip in prospective adopters as people continue to feel the effects of the cost-of-living pressures, as well as facing rising costs ourselves.

Despite this, the incredible generosity of our supporters and the dedication of our teams meant we were able to help thousands of dogs and cats in our communities: the five boroughs in which we work here in London; Tbilisi, Georgia and Kabul, Afghanistan.

Our 2022 review explores how our team is rising to the huge increase in demand for our services as the cost-of-living crisis impacts on so many animal lovers. We found new homes for over 350 animals, the clinic carried out 9,256 interventions including dentals, neutering and vaccinations.  Internationally a phenomenal 24,133 dogs were vaccinated against rabies and we neutered 12,965 animals.
