CLAW Project in Johannesburg Vaccinates Against Rabies

Our very own CEO, Caroline Yates, is out in South Africa at the moment and is volunteering with CLAW Project  (Community Led Animal Welfare) funded by International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW).

IFAW and volunteers are vaccinating pets in the townships in Johannesburg against rabies and canine diseases on the municipal dump where people live amongst the rubbish in appalling conditions. IFAW is the only provider of animal healthcare in most of the townships in South Africa and provides lifesaving support for up to 700 animals a week.

You can find out more about IFAW’s work in South Africa here.
