We are very proud to announce that Lisa Guiney, our Head of Operations & Acting Head of Clinic, has been selected as a Finalist for the prestigious Charity Employee of the Year Award Category in the 2023 Petplan & ADCH Animal Charity Awards.
“I am honoured and proud to have been selected as a Finalist for Charity Employee of the Year Category at these important Awards. It was totally unexpected!”
The Awards, for which there were 5,000 nominations, were announced at an event on the evening of Tuesday, 16th May at The Telford International Centre where Lisa was joined by colleagues from Mayhew, including Chair of Mayhew’s Board of Trustees and Mayhew Chief Executive, Sherine Wheeler.
Lisa has been recognised for her contribution to the lives of tens of thousands of dogs and cats during her 25-year long career at Mayhew. During this time, Lisa has worked tirelessly to ensure dogs and cats receive the care, love and support they need so they are healthy, and loved for life, by communities who care for them and respect them.
“We are thrilled that Lisa has been recognised by her peers and colleagues in the animal welfare sector as a finalist for the Charity Employee of the Year Award. Her commitment to animal welfare is incredible and her efforts have had a transformative effect on the lives of countless animals in the communities Mayhew supports in London. She is an inspiration to everyone she works with, and we are very proud of her well-deserved recognition.”
Lisa works with tremendous resilience and passion and inspires her teams to go above and beyond to provide tailored, expert care and support to dogs, cats, pet owners and communities in London.
