On Thursday 13 December we held a brand new Christmas Carols event at St Giles-in-the-Fields church in Central London. Over 80 Mayhew supporters joined us in singing along with the fantastic church choir to Christmas classics such as Hark The Herald Angels Sing and Away In A Manger.
Before the event started, all of our guests were treated to a warming cup of mulled wine and a mince pie whilst they entered our raffle, bought Christmas Dinners for our Mayhew residents and remembered lost pets through our Memory Baubles.
Hosted by Reverend Alan Carr with a little help from our CEO Caroline Yates, the evening included readings from actress Emily Raymond and TheraPaws volunteer Deborah Taffler with her dog Noodle.
The guests were then treated to a surprise treat from Mayhew’s Cat Pack who performed their meowgical rendition of Santa Paws is Coming to Town.
