Marc Abraham and The Mayhew Join Tesco Bank’s Pet Roadshow

We teamed up with our friend and veterinary surgeon, Marc Abraham, at Tesco Bank’s Pet Roadshow which spent the day at Tesco’s superstore in Kensington, London. Tesco is sponsoring National Pet Month and promoting  responsible pet ownership during the month-long event. Marc, founder of Pup Aid, is also a great advocate for adopting pets rather than buying them, and raises awareness on the terrible reality of the puppy breeding and farming industry which is in line with The Mayhew’s views on puppy breeding.

For shoppers and the general public, there were plenty of doggy-care demonstrations by Marc and his vet colleague and The Mayhew’s TheraPaws and rehomed dogs, Honey, Toby, Ben and Tess, were on-hand to take part.  Care demonstrations and advice included grooming, socialisation, dental care, microchipping, checking for fleas and pet nutrition.

The Mayhew’s Animal Welfare Officers, AJ and Paul, attended the event and were reunited with Ben who was rescued by The Mayhew’s Animal Welfare Officers from terrible living conditions. You can read Ben’s story here.

Thanks to Marc, Tesco Bank and our fab TheraPaws volunteers, dogs and adopters for a great day!
