What is Giving Tuesday?
#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving and celebrating the generosity and kindness in giving. Following Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which kick off the Christmas buying season, #GivingTuesday is the time to take a step back from shopping in the run-up to Christmas and support the cause that you care about.
Giving to Us Helps Us Give to More Animals
If you’d like to help us on Giving Tuesday, you can donate to our range of community and animal initiatives and projects here in the UK. We also work overseas in a number of countries helping dogs and cats and training international vets and vet nurses passing on our veterinary skills. Read on to find out why we need your support.
Our team of Animal Welfare Officers rescue and come to the aid of hundreds of cats and dogs every year.
We rehome hundreds of unwanted and abandoned cats and dogs to their forever homes.
Mayhew International’s work improves the welfare of dogs and cats overseas, helps local communities and animal welfare organisations. We also train vets and vet nurses with the latest veterinary skills.
We work with the homeless and also offer our ground breaking Pet Refuge Scheme giving short-term pet care for owners in crisis.
Our community vet clinic neuters, microchips, worms and de-fleas thousands of dogs and cats every year, offering low-cost and sometimes free neutering, making vet treatment accessible for everyone. We also help to reunite lost dogs and cats with their owners.
We work across London, neutering colonies of feral cats and kittens to help ease the feral cat population crisis, estimated to be millions in London. This lowers the amount of feral cats being born and we also give them a health-check.
