We had a fantastic evening at our Christmas Concert earlier this month. It was truly heart-warming to see so many familiar and new faces come together to celebrate the festive season and support our life-changing work for dogs, cats, and local communities.
Our wonderful host for the evening, TV and radio presenter Danni Menzies, led us through a night of Christmas carols, heartfelt readings, and inspiring stories about the impact of Mayhew’s work.

We were also joined by beloved actors and animal welfare champions Sir Tony Robinson, Sue Jameson, and James Bolam MBE, whose readings filled the room with laughter, warmth, and festive spirit. Finsbury A Cappella choir and the Love2Sing choir from Ealing added a touch of musical magic to the evening and delighted guests with their joyous performances.
We were honoured to welcome the Mayor of Ealing, Councillor Yvonne Johnson, and the Deputy Mayor of Brent, Councillor Ryan Hack—and, of course, it wouldn’t be a Mayhew Christmas Concert without some of our adorable four-legged friends.
A huge thank you to our generous sponsor for the event, Catena Media, and to the wonderful local businesses who kindly donated raffle prizes. Most of all, thank you to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special.
This past year has been incredibly challenging, with an unprecedented rise in the number of dogs and cats needing our services, largely due to the financial pressures many pet owners are facing. The kindness and generosity shown on the night will make a real difference, helping to support thousands of dogs, cats and pet owners in need.
Thank you for being part of such a magical and meaningful evening.
