Jan

Jan is a beautiful young lady who has been a loving Mum to four cheeky babies and is now looking to have some me time. She is a sweet, sensitive little girl who just wants to get to know you and when she does, she just loves her fuss and hanging out. She is quite playful and loves her toys and feathery stick. She is queen of the slow blink and would welcome a quiet, laid-back home where she can be the centre of attention and hang out with other sophisticated adults. If Jan were a hooman, she’d throw killer dinner parties but will make do with a nice sofa to sit on and someone to wait on her hand and paw. So, if this tabby looks terrific, keep reading to see if you could be her purr-fect match and give her the fur-ever home she deserves…

Other Notes

Jan arrived with four kittens at Mayhew towards the end of February. She was simply abandoned outside our front door but she has been a good mum as you can see from her pictures. She has now been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given preventative treatment in the form of microchipping, vaccinations (at least first) and flea and worming treatment by our veterinary team. She currently has no medical concerns but is due to be neutered soon (12th April) so can't go home until this procedure has happened. Every cat adopted from Mayhew also goes home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.

Foster Carer Comments

I am so happy I have had the chance to foster the lovely Jan(uary) and her kittens all named after months of the year. When she first arrived she was very nervous and hid for the first day or so but as she settled in she has gone from a scaredy cat to letting me give her a fuss and carry her around. She seems very kittenish herself and I guess never had any toys before so she gets really excited when we play games and is an incredibly attentive super mama who has a very caring nature. She is very clean and has taught her babies to be the same and often sits very regally on the windowsill giving me eye blinks. She is a smart girl who loves her food and her home comforts and is always grateful that there’s warmth, food and cuddles always on tap. She encapsulates the phrase; home is where the cat is and whoever is lucky enough to give Jan her ‘new year, new life’ will have hit the jackpot
