Gucci is a sweet boy who tends to form strong bonds with those he trusts the most. He will become your little shadow and would thrive in a home where he can get lots of attention and cuddles. He is an extremely cuddly boy and loves nothing more than laying on your lap or literally on top of you in the bed at night. Gucci does not respect personal space but does love a good box (what cat doesn’t) and his feather toy is always a winner. He also has a bit of a fetish for all things paper and loves to shred it up. Gucci does have a sensitive side and would prefer an all-adult female only home as he has shown some anxiety towards men. Because he can get a bit worried, he’ll need a cat flap fitted and someone around to give him some company and help him settle in. Medical conditions?Gucci arrived at the end of December after his owner abandoned him in our reception. He has been behaviourally assessed and given preventative treatment at Mayhew in the form of vaccinations (at least first) and flea and worming treatment and was microchipped & neutered before arriving in our care and comes with 4 weeks free pet insurance. When Gucci arrived, he had a Urinary Tract Infection (UTI), which has been treated and has now cleared up. He is currently on a special urinary diet which promotes bladder health and should stay on this in his new home while he settles in. Hopefully he can be weaned off this but you'd need to make sure to provide him a stress free environment in which to be happy in.
Gucci is an incredibly sweet and affectionate cat. He forms a close bond with his person. He is a little needy and clingy so the right owner should be someone who wants a cuddly lap cat. If I’m sitting on the sofa, he will jump up and either get cozy on my lap or he will wedge himself next to me. When he sleeps on his own, he loves to snuggle up in blankets and carve out a little cave for himself. He lounges on his back which is adorable. He follows me around the house. If I go upstairs, he comes upstairs, he wants to stay close by. He patiently waits in the bathroom while I get ready. When you’re home, he wants to be with you. But he’s okay on his own too, he doesn’t seem distressed when I leave or return. He’s perfectly content to entertain himself. He loves to watch squirrels and pigeons through the doors and windows. He loves catching flies! He can be silly and loves to run around at night before bedtime. He’s a loving baby who will wake up his person with sweet kisses, but hes not persistent and will let you go back to sleep
