Fern

Fern is a sweet, affectionate lady who has been there, done that and got the t-shirt and is now looking for a loving, chilled out home where she can be the centre of attention. She loves a nice cosy bed and enjoys her fuss and affection. You see her younger self emerge when the cat nip toys come out and she loves her grub. When she feels settled she likes to flop on her side and show off her fluffy tummy but as much as she loves her strokes she will let you know if she is not in the mood. She would prefer a quiet, all-adult home where she can have you all to her self and she does like a bit of company too. So, if you have some room for a new Fern to take pride of place in the home, keep reading to see if you could be her purr-fect match and give her the fur-ever home she deserves…

Other Notes

Fern arrived at Mayhew towards the start of March after her owner sadly passed away. During her stay she has been behaviourally assessed by our animal care staff and given preventative treatment in the form of vaccinations (at least first) and flea and worming treatment by our veterinary team. Before arriving she was already microchipped & neutered. She currently has no medical concerns but does have a small amount of tartar and a minimal amount of gingivitis in one area of her mouth. This is not causing pain or discomfort and given that she is an older cat doesn't merit a full GA at this time and like every cat adopted from Mayhew will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance. Senior cats are often overlooked and coupled with the fact she is black & white makes her even less desirable to most so if you think you could make a difference in Fern's life why not see if you could offer her a happy retirement home.
