Babka is a wonderful young lady who just needs to gain your trust and with those she knows best has even started to venture on laps as well. She is a playful little character and loves her dangly, feathery stick toys too. She likes some me time in her little furry pink cave and will let you know if she is not in the mood or has had enough fuss which is why she would need an all adult home with people who can understand cat behaviour and will give Babs the time to get to know you. So, if you want to hang out and get to know this sweet treat, keep reading to see if you could be her purr-fect match and give her the fur-ever home she deserves…
Babka was found as a stray cat towards the end of November. When she arrived she was a bit stressed out and we noticed she had an upset tummy which consisted of a few stools with blood in them. This resolved with some probiotics and a bland food diet and now she is all fine. She has been behaviourally assessed and given preventative treatment at Mayhew in the form of microchipping, neutering, vaccinations (at least first) and flea and worming treatment. Now all she needs is a place to call home where she can show you just how sweet she is.
When Babka first arrived, she was wary and cautious, having lived rough on the streets. As she’s settled in and gotten to know us she’s blossomed into a wonderfully affectionate, playful lady! She greets us with quiet, yet excited meows, and loves nothing more than getting pets. It’s been a joy to get to know her, and for her to get to know us. She loves curling up next to you while you’re working from home, and is so happy to be included when you show her what you’re doing or let her have a sniff of whatever is in your hand. You might need a little time to gain her trust, but Babka has all the love in the world to give, and though we’ll miss her terribly, we can’t wait for her to find a forever home that will give her as much love back. Her interests include: booping you with her head, chasing her own tail, and winning the next battle in the endless war against her feather boa stick toy.
