Reggie is a sweet and friendly chap with a sensitive side. He is very affectionate with those he knows and loves to snuggle down next to his favourite people for strokes. He enjoys going on gentle walks where he can potter along, taking in the smells of his environment and meeting the odd dog pal along the way. He can get a little worried at times when out and about so will need an owner that will provide him with reassurance and guidance when needed. This lovely lad has had a lot of big changes in his life recently and is looking for a home with an understanding family or person that will have the time to provide him with the care and support he needs to thrive. He would make a wonderfully rewarding and loving companion for the right match.
Read moreReggie can live in a ground floor flat with direct access to a private garden, for ease of toileting. He can be vocal at times so this should be considered. He could live with secondary school age children, providing they give him space when needed. Reggie is a brachycephalic breed type, his adopter will need to be knowledgeable about brachy care and have researched his breed. They will need to take care with excessive exercise and hot weather, maintain his weight and ensure his skin folds are kept clean. Reggie presented at the Mayhew with some sore skin which was successfully treated. It is possible that he may be prone to skin infections in the future. He also has a history of ear canal inflammation and infection for which he is on ongoing medication for and doing well with. He will need his ears cleaned regularly to keep them healthy. Adopters will need to monitor his overall health and take him to their private vet as and when needed. He has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea & worming treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
