Taz

Gorgeous Taz is a friendly and fun loving girl who melts the hearts of everyone she meets. She enjoys going on outdoor, sniffing adventures and is very social with other dogs but can be a bit enthusiastic for some so will need an owner that will continue with her training and provide her with guidance where needed. Despite her age she is still very playful and loves a good game with her toys! She also enjoys snuggling up on the sofa with her people. This extremely lovable girl cannot wait to find her forever home and will make the most rewarding and affectionate companion for the right match.

Other Notes

Taz can live in a flat as long as there is access to a garden/outside space. She could live with dog savvy, secondary age children, providing they will give her space when needed and won't be intimidated by her bouncy nature at times. She could potentially live with a calm, well adjusted, adult dog, subject to a successful meet at Mayhew. Whilst in our care, Taz has had a a cyst removed from her shoulder and mass removed from her gum, these were both found to be benign (non cancerous). Taz was unfortunately found to have malignant (cancerous) mammary tumours. She underwent a bilateral mammary strip (removal of both mammary chains) to treat these. The tumours were completely removed with clear surgical margins and there was thankfully no evidence of spread to the lymph nodes or other areas. Since surgery, Taz has recovered very well and has continued to gain weight, remain bright, and thrive. Although the surgery has addressed all known disease, there remains a possibility of recurrence or development of new tumours in the future. Her new owner will need to monitor her for development of any new lumps and ensure she is seen by her private vet when needed. Taz has been microchipped, neutered and vaccinated and is up to date with flea & worming treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
