    Mayhew launches new website

Mayhew is transforming its digital platforms and have teamed up with a digital agency to create a new website to increase engagement and highlight the range of proactive animal welfare and community outreach work we deliver in the UK and overseas.

The 132-year-old charity, which provides help to homeless, neglected and abandoned animals, as well as providing support to pet owners, worked on the new website and online fundraising platform with digital studio, adaptable.

According to audience analysis conducted by BMG Research in 2018, a large proportion of people (29%) have heard about us through online platforms, which signifies a potential avenue of growth for the future.

We understand that by making digital a part of our wider strategy, we will be able to create more awareness, and help more animals and pet owners in need. The new website aims to improve user experience by creating a streamlined donations process, allowing users to make a donation in as fewer steps as possible with the option to checkout with either PayPal or directly with us.

The new site structure and visual navigation makes it easier to browse the website, including accessing help from our community projects. The new site also better represents our personality online as the design is more playful and shows the teams behind our charity.

Mayhew’s CEO, Caroline Yates, said: “We are delighted to have collaborated with digital agency, adaptable, and we are thrilled with the result.

“At Mayhew we recognise that digital is a force for good and our website is our number one tool for brand awareness and growth. It allows us to be accessible from anywhere at any time, strengthens relationships with our supporters, and gives us a central hub to showcase the work that we do. Our website is the first port of call for many of our supporters and therefore it is incredibly important that it reflects us accurately and positively.

“Our new website has helped us to portray our proactive approach to tackling companion animal welfare issues and will hopefully show people that we are more than just an animal shelter.”

adaptable’s Managing Director, Dan Cooper, said: “Mayhew do fantastic work in their local community, but also internationally. We’re thrilled to have launched their new charity website to showcase the rewarding work they undertake to give unwanted animals the chance of finding their forever home.”
