Zena

Wonderful Zena is the ultimate dog trainer’s dog. This girl is super smart and will thrive in a home with experience of working breeds. Zena is quick to win over every person she meets and is full of love and enthusiasm. She is very friendly and affectionate and loves human company, sometimes struggling to be without it, so will need some support in this area. Zena is looking for a very specific home with someone willing to provide her with a job to do. Whilst at Mayhew Zena has been doing training around scent work, which she has aced! But she would be willing to try her hand at anything. As a young girl she will need ongoing support with her training and socialisation as she builds up new skills in her still developing brain.

Other Notes

Zena is learning to build up some frustration tolerance and will need an experienced owner who has owned dogs, preferably shepherd types before. She can live in a flat as long as there is access to a garden but can be vocal at times so this should be taken into consideration. She could potentially live with another dog of a calm and well adjusted disposition, subject to a successful meet at Mayhew. Zena's adopters will receive 3 1-2-1 sessions with our Mayhew Clinical Behaviourist, the first session will be on the day of collection. Zena has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worming treatments. She has also been medically and behaviourally assessed.
