Trixie is a sweet 7 year old Chihuahua cross and Pixie is her lovely 5 year old daughter. Both dogs are quite shy at first but warm up quickly and enjoy strokes and affection from their people. They can both be worried by things like loud noises and busy areas when out and about, so their owner will need to provide guidance and reassurance where needed. Trixie is the more confident of the two and Pixie seeks reassurance from her when out and about. Trixie enjoys going on gentle walks where she can sniff to her hearts content and have a few meet and greets with dog pals along the way. She is social around dogs but mostly prefers her independence and will tell them off if they are too much for her! Pixie can be worried around other dogs and will bark and back away if they are in her space. She prefers spending time with Trixie or her favourite people. These two are real sweethearts who would thrive in a home where they could snuggle up on their owner's lap after a day of gentle activity and adventures.
Read morePixie and Trixie can live in a flat provided owners are willing to take them out for regular toilet breaks and daily exercise. They could live with sensible older children of 14+ who are used to being around dogs and will be calm and patient with them. Due to Pixie's nervous nature, we do not feel Trixie and Pixie could live with another dog or any cats. We believe that Trixie and Pixie could be left alone comfortably in a new environment, built up slowly for a couple of hours at a time. They have done well staying housetrained in kennels but may need a little refresher in a new home. They are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and up to date with flea and worm treatment. They have also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
