Gorgeous Tilly is a busy little lady who would thrive in a home where she can be provided with lots of mental/physical stimulation as well as outdoor adventures. She is a sensitive soul having not had the greatest start in life and finds the world around her to be a scary place at the moment, barking at strangers and loud noises (and sometimes, seemingly, at nothing in particular!) but is gaining in confidence everyday and responding well to training. She will need an experienced owner who will be able to read her body language, offer support where needed and continue with her training and socialisation. With people she knows and trusts, she enjoys receiving attention and affection and is always up for a tasty treat! She is friendly with other dogs but will tell them off is she feels they are too much for her! Tilly is a great girl and anyone lucky enough to adopt her will be rewarded with the results of helping her to come out of her shell and develop into the confident, happy and well adjusted dog she has the potential to be.
Read moreTilly is looking for a calm, all adult home without visiting children. Her adopter should be prepared to come in for at least two meets to help build an initial bond, before taking her home. She could live in a flat with direct access to a private garden but can be vocal at times so this should be considered. She could live with another dog subject to a successful meet at Mayhew and could potentially live with a dog confident cat as long as her adopter is willing to facilitate slow and careful introductions. Due to her worried nature out and about, she would ideally need to live in a rural/semi rural area. Her adopter will be expected to continue her training and will receive 3 free sessions with our Mayhew Animal Behaviourist. Tilly has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
