Star

Star is a sweet natured and friendly girl with a shy side. She is still learning about the world and can be worried by novel situations but has come on leaps and bounds with her confidence and gains a great deal of support from her bonded people and doggy pals! Star is a highly intelligent breed and will be looking for a new home with lots of time on their hands to provide her with plenty of opportunities for both mental and physical stimulation. As a young girl, Star will need careful, ongoing training and socialisation, to support her into becoming a well-rounded and confident adult dog. Star is affectionate and playful with her known people and would make a wonderful companion for someone who has the time to meet her needs and desire to perform natural behaviours.

Other Notes

Star can live in a flat as long as there is direct access to a private garden. She can live with sensible, dog savvy, secondary age children, providing they give her space when needed. She could live with a calm, tolerant, adult dog that will be a good influence on her, subject to a successful meet at Mayhew. She could also potentially live with a dog confident cat as long as her owner will facilitate slow intros and teach her calm behaviours around the introduction period. Her new owners will need to ensure she is groomed regularly and be aware of the financial costs that could come with this. Star has been microchipped, neutered and vaccinated and is up to date with flea & worming treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
