    Shadow

Super sweet Shadow is a fun-loving and active boy, with a comical nature! He loves going on walks, being outside and he loves to play! His favourite toys are balls, especially ones which squeak. He also likes to greet everyone he meets and he's currently learning not to jump up when saying 'hello'. He's sociable with other dogs, although he can be a little insecure at times. When he's not playing, he likes to snuggle up next to someone and he certainly considers himself lap dog! Life is never dull when Shadow is around, he is full of affection and joy. After successful surgery to help him breathe easier, he is now looking for a home with an equally active owner who will keep him entertained, include him in their daily activities and provide him with plenty love and of mental stimulation.

    Other Notes

Shadow can live in a flat with access to a garden. He can live with older teenagers but he would prefer to be the only pet in the home. Shadow is a brachycephalic breed type. He had a BOAS (brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome) score of 3 out of 3, therefore surgical correction has been performed to enlarge his nostrils and shorten his soft palate. The surgery was successful. Shadow is however, still a brachycephalic dog, owners should ensure he doesn't become overweight and never overdo exercise. In hot weather his walks should be confined to cool mornings and/or evenings. A Shadow has also been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. He has been health checked and behaviourally assessed.

    Foster Carer Comments

Dan - Kennel Carer: This sweet friendly chap doesn't know he has breed inherited breathing concerns which have been eased by corrective surgery now done. He has bundles to offer a lucky adopter in energy, love and a great zest for life which any adopter will see him show in abundance with every friendly interaction and smile he offers you. Shadow is star quality cuteness and loving personified with a big heart on a small, framed body and will simply enrich the life of everyone who welcomes him into their home.
