Rehomed

Ryan

Sweet Ryan is a sensitive little lad who melts the hearts of all he meets. He is friendly and affectionate and loves a good cuddle with his people. Ryan has been through a lot in his short life but is being very brave and adjusting well to having 3 legs. He will need a patient and understanding owner who will have the time to support his recovery and on going training/socialisation needs as well as providing him with mental stimulation. Ryan will make a loving, life long friend for the right person or family.

Other Notes

Ryan can live in a flat, ideally ground level, as long as there is direct access to a garden. He can live with sensible, junior school age children, as long as they give him space when needed. He could live with a well adjusted, adult dog that will be a good influence on him, subject to a successful meet at Mayhew. He could also potentially live with a dog confident cat as long as his owner will facilitate slow intros and teach him not to chase! Ryan arrived at Mayhew with an unhealed, severely fractured left elbow. Due to the severity and chronicity of the fracture the decision was made to amputate the left front leg. It is important that he builds up strength in his remaining front leg, gradually, to avoid damage to the remaining front leg. Ryan has been health checked, microchipped, will have received his first vaccination and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. He will be neutered before he goes to his new home. Ryan has also been behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
