Lovely Ruby is looking for her forever home. Ruby is a sweet natured girl, who enjoys a good cuddle on the sofa with her people. Ruby does have a worried side to her, but warms up quickly with some reassurance. She enjoys her time pottering around at the park, taking in all the smells. Ruby enjoys the company of calmer dogs on her walks, and she will tolerate some sniffs but will tell them off in a controlled manner, if she feels they are too much for her. Ruby is currently undergoing a training plan with us, to help manage her stress in kennels, which she has taken in her stride, and she is improving everyday. She will need an adopter who has experience and is willing to continue this in the home. Ruby has a lot of love to give, she will be an amazing companion for the right person or family.
Read moreRuby is looking for a calm home with patient and understanding owners, who will allow her time to settle and continue with her training. She could live in a flat, however she can be vocal when left alone so this should be taken into consideration. Ruby is a brachycephalic (short faced bree)d who has a combination of anatomical factors related to their shortened faces which may reduce their ability to breath normally. She does have some respiratory noises including snoring but has not shown any exercise intolerance of difficulties with her breathing. Ruby has an undershot jaw (her lower jaw protrudes forward) which can make it difficult for her to pick up food from the floor but otherwise does not seem to affect her. Ruby also has narrowed ear canals, again common in her breed, therefore she may be prone to ear infections so it's important to inspect her ears regularly and seek veterinary care if concerned. Due to Ruby's breed, she has facial folds & a tail fold which will need to be kept clean as these areas can become infected due to a moist environment between the skin. Ruby has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
