    Roland

Roland is a caring and playful boy, who has missed out on some early socialisation and exposure to the world. This can mean life can be a bit scary for Roland and he can sometimes respond to this by panicking, backing away or barking. He is doing well with building his confidence and seeks out reassurance from his handlers. He is learning to walk well on the lead and making great progress with this. Roland likes the company of other dogs but can sometimes find them a bit scary so prefers to build his confidence slowly. He loves cuddles and affection from his favourite people and is looking for someone with the time to help him flourish into a confident adult.

    Other Notes

We feel Roland could be introduced to living with another confident dog who will suit his playful energy. He will need a good role model who will help him build his confidence and not be phased by his sometimes fearful behaviour. We feel Roland could potentially be introduced to living with a dog confident cat, providing care givers are willing to build this up very slowly with lots of management. We feel he would be suited to older, sensible teens who will be patient with him and allow him to bond in his own time. He has likely not had the opportunity to be guided into where to toilet and will need some support in this area from the start.
