Jax

Handsome Jax is a sensitive soul who is looking for a dedicated owner to support him through his confidence growing journey. He might not be lap size but he doesn't know that and he likes nothing more than to situate himself on his favourite person. Jax has not had a great start in life and has missed out on some essential, early socialisation, this has made some environments overwhelming for him, for this reason, Jax will be looking for a home in a quieter location where he can have the time and space to build his confidence slowly and get used to the world around him. Jax likes people and dogs and gains some certainty from his friends, he will need someone with lots of patience to allow him time to process things and progress at his own pace. Jax has a lot of love to give, and everyone he meets can't help but fall in love with him! He’s a smart boy who loves to show off his skills, as well as learn new ones. He will make a wonderful, cuddly companion to the right home.

Other Notes

Jax is currently in his adolescence and his brain is still developing. Owners will need to feel confident in supporting him through his teenage months. He is potentially a flight risk due to his worried nature and fear of loud noises. Owners will need to walk him on a securely fitted harness and they may need to manage him on a lead or long line for a longer than normal while he builds his confidence. Jax likes other dogs and has felt supported with them around so he may benefit from living with a confident, tolerant dog who will cope with his playstyle should he come out of himself and feels more confident to play. Due to his sensitive nature we feel he could live with sensible older children of 12 and upwards. He could potentially be introduced to living with a dog-confident cat providing his owners are experienced in these introductions. He has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
