Beautiful Brooke is a sweet and affectionate girl with a sensitive side. She enjoys going on gentle walks in familiar areas, finding all the best smells. She can be a little shy when meeting new people, but doesn't take long to warm up and builds strong bonds quickly. She is happy to meet the odd dog pal on her adventures but generally prefers a more independent walk and the company of her people. This little darling is looking for a calm and quiet, retirement home, where she can spend her days enjoying the simple pleasures in life and snoozing on her person's lap. She will make a wonderful little companion for the right match.
Read moreBrooke can live in a flat as long as there is access to a garden. Due to her sensitive nature at times, she is looking for an adult only home without visiting children. She could potentially live with a dog confident cat providing her owners will facilitate slow intros. Brooke has had a mammary mass removed while in our care. This mass was classed as low grade malignant but was completely removed and there was no evidence of spread. Brooke has a history of a chronic cough, which was noted prior to arriving at Mayhew - this is believed to be due to having a collapsed trachea (where the airway becomes narrowed or less rigid). She does not need any treatment for this currently and is coping well. Finally, Brooke has had a dental with multiple extractions whilst with us. Adopters will need to monitor her overall health and take her to their private vet as and when needed. Her new owners will also need to ensure she is groomed regularly and be aware of the financial costs that could come with this. Brooke has been microchipped, neutered and vaccinated and is up to date with flea & worming treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
