Boe

Beautiful Boe is a sweet, sensitive boy who loves affection. He can be shy when he first meets someone but will soon be sat on your lap looking for scratches. He can be nervous of busy places and loud noises, so would suit a quieter area. Boe enjoys going on sniffy walks, but more than anything wants someone he can cuddle up with and a place to call his own. This lovely boy has so much love to give and melts the hearts of everyone he meets. Boe just needs someone to be patient with him, provide him reassurance and help him to build his confidence.

Other Notes

Boe can live in a flat as long there is access to an enclosed garden. He is looking for a home where there will be someone around most of the time, building up the time he is left alone, slowly. He can live with sensible older teenagers, providing they will will give him space when needed. Boe is a brachycephalic or short faced breed. In these breeds, we assess them for brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome (BOAS). Boe had very narrow nostrils, these have been surgically widened whilst at the Mayhew, this will help to increase the air flow when he inhales. It is important that potential adopters understand the additional requirements for brachycephalic breeds in maintaining and monitoring their health. Care should be taken with excessive exercise and hot weather. Sadly, Boe arrived in our care with cropped ears. Ear cropping is a painful procedure which is illegal in the UK. His ears have healed, and we suspect this was carried out when he was a puppy. Boe has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is up to date with flea & worm treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
