Lovely Bella is a sweet, affectionate girl who makes friends quickly and builds strong bonds with her people. She enjoys gentle walks, investigating all the smells and greeting dog pals along the way but will tell them off and move herself away if they are too much for her. She has a cheeky, playful side to her at times and has a preference for tennis balls! She would love a calm home where she could enjoy the simple things in life and snuggle up with her owner on the sofa of an evening. Bella is an absolute sweetheart and will make a loving and loyal companion for the right owner or family.
Read moreBella is looking for a calm, quiet home where there will be someone around most of the time, building up her time alone slowly, to a few hours on occasion. She can live in a flat but can be vocal at times so this should be considered. She could live with sensible children of 12+ providing they give her the space she needs. She could also potentially live with a dog confident cat. Bella had an inflammation condition of her eyes when she arrived at Mayhew which was successfully treated with steroid eye drops and no further treatment is needed at this time. She has also had a descale and polish of her teeth. Being an older dog, she has some lipomas (fatty lumps) that have been tested and are not a cause for concern at this stage but will need to be monitored by her adopter. She will also need regular grooming and ear cleaning. Bella has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
“ Bella is one of the easiest dogs I have cared for. She walks beautifully on the lead, is easy to care for and is happy to travel on buses, trains and the tube. Bella is also very affectionate and would make a wonderful companion for the right owners”
