Angel by name, Angel by nature! This sweet girl is a wonderful little dog who has been through so much already at her young age and is now ready to find her person or people to go on new adventures with. She came to us with a broken leg and needed surgery to repair this, but she hasn't let this stop her from doing anything. Angel is an affectionate, happy girl who has won the hearts of everyone here. She enjoys being out and about, meeting people and dogs or being cuddled up with her favourite people. She is friendly and keen to meet other dogs, but is still learning how to read their signals so will need an owner who will be able to provide guidance and support when needed. She is a very sociable dog who would suit a home with a person or family that has the time, patience and commitment to continue with her training and socialisation and help her develop into the well adjusted dog, she has the huge potential to be.
Read moreAngel can live in a flat with access to an enclosed garden. She is looking for a home where there will be someone around most of the time, building up the time she is left alone, slowly. She can live with sensible children of 8 years of age and upwards providing they give her space when needed. She could live with another well matched dog, subject to a successful meet at Mayhew and could also potentially live with a dog-confident cat if her new owner is willing to facilitate careful and slow introductions. Angel came into us with a fractured back leg and had to have surgery, however she is now fully healed and this is not expected to cause any further issues or restrictions. Angel is a brachycephalic breed type and her adopter will need to be knowledgeable about brachy care and have researched her breed. Adopters will need to take care with excessive exercise and hot weather, maintain her weight and ensure her skin folds are kept clean. We have not assessed her for brachycephalic obstructive airway syndrome as it is usually recommended to wait to do this until they are over 1 year old, but she may need surgery for this in the future so her adopters should be financially prepared. Angel has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is up to date with flea & worm treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
