    Speedy

What does a Mexican put under his carpet Underlay! Underlay! That's right we went there but it's also the catchphrase of his Looney Tunes Mouse namesake. Despite his name, Speedy is more of a slow burner at present, but for good reason. Sadly he was abandoned at our door and then needed some eye drops, so we are only just getting to know the cat behind the whiskers. He can be a little shy at first but the more time you spend with him the more curious he gets and will come over to get some fuss. He is a sweet little boy who just wants a chilled out, grown up home where he can really get to know you. So, if you're happy to go at Speedy's pace, keep reading to see if you could be his purr-fect match and give him the fur-ever home he deserves...

    Other Notes

Speedy arrived at Mayhew at the end of February after him and his siblings were abandoned outside our Reception. He has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance. During his stay he has had treatment for Cat Flu symptoms. This included eye drops which seem to have worked well. This should be monitored as symptoms can recur so care from your vet is advised in these scenarios. We also noted he has some mild gingivitis. he had some anti-inflammatory meds as well as a clean of his teeth to help this and this should also be monitored to make sure it doesn't get any worse. He currently needs no treatment and is just looking for a loving place to call home.
