Phuket (or Pookie to her mates) is brimming with personality despite her petite size. This sweet girl loves to receive affection through lots of strokes, and quality time is certainly one of her love languages as she can happily spend the afternoon lounging away in her humans' presence. She is a playful girl who loves ball toys (foil balls are her favourite), and she loves to sit in the window and watch the birds. She is looking for a more grown-up home who can help her find her paws and show off her gentle personality. So, if Phuket is your dream destination, keep reading to see if you could be her purr-fect match and give her the fur-ever home she deserves...
Phuket arrived at Mayhew mid April after she was found abandoned at Mayhew with another cat and two kittens. She has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
She doesn’t have a bad bone in her body and is a really low maintenance girl. She waits politely for her breakfast in the mornings without waking us up, and uses her litter tray and scratch pads beautifully. She loves strokes but still isn’t one for a big cuddle - instead, she’ll sit nearby and keep a close eye on what we’re up to, following us from room to room, or waiting for us in the doorway. She still adores her foil balls and also loves to wrestle the bath mat, reducing it to a little crumpled heap. She is so good-natured and will even let visitors stroke her these days. She doesn’t hide any more and is very brave about all our household noises! We love her to pieces and she deserves a wonderful forever home.
