Dusty is a lovely little lady who enjoys life to the fullest. She likes to make friends and is partial to a warm lap and some good ol' fashioned fuss. She can be a bit shy at the beginning but once she's gotten to know you she shows her sweet little personality. She is also known to be quite the talker and makes a good alarm clock so nobody ever forgets breakfast. Dusty would prefer a more grown up home where she can settle and show you what this girl is all about. So, if you think you could help this lady find a happy, loving home, keep reading to see if you could be her purr-fect match and give any of her the fur-ever home she deserves...
Dusty arrived at Mayhew at the end of April alongside her sister Nancy after her owner could no longer keep them. She has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance. Dusty has a history of Flea Allergic Dermatitis (FAD), which is a reaction to flea bites. This is simply manged with regular parasite control and he also had a longer lasting steroid injection to help before arriving back in our care. Dusty and Nancy could be rehomed together or separately.
Dusty is a loving and sweet girl that takes some time to get comfortable but is worth the wait. She loves fuss and attention, quite a vocal girl who loves someone to chat to. Intelligent and kind, needs an owner who has time and patience so she can come out of her shell.
