Daffy is a chatty fellow who is very curious about the world. He is full of personality and is in the business of making friends, not foes unlike his Quacky comedic namesake. Daffy is quick to waddle into new environments and likes to say hello and offer lots of head bumps in exchange for cuddles and fuss. A warm lap is his favourite spot to rest in, but he'll settle for being cuddled up in cozy blankets if thats all thats available. Dangly toys are a favourite of his and this energetic boy would love a home that wants to play as much as he does, although he can sometimes get a bit over excited and give the odd nibble. He does has a sensitive side too and can get worried sometimes so he would like a home that is as laid back as he is. Medical conditions?Daffy arrived at Mayhew at the end of February after he was abandoned outside of Mayhew. He has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance. During his stay he has had treatment for Cat Flu symptoms. This included antibiotics which have worked well and things should be monitored as symptoms could possibly recur so care should be sought from your own vet in these scenarios. Daffy has also had some dental treatment, including the extraction of a "double tooth", which has healed well. We also noted he has some mild gingivitis. He had some anti-inflammatory meds as well as a clean of his teeth to help with this and this should also be monitored to make sure it doesn't get any worse. He currently needs no further treatment and is just looking for a loving place to call home.
Daffy is a very chatty and affectionate boy who loves people and being made a fuss of. A real lap cat, who likes to be around people with a very playful and energetic side still given his young age. He has an inquisitive and confident nature that allowed him to make himself at home very quickly and he has adapted very well to a new environment. He sleeps on the bed at night, and occasionally asks to come in under the duvet for a snuggle. When left to his own devices, you'll find him napping in all sorts of positions, and is fine to be left alone for a full working day. Generally, he's a very loving cat who has a lot of character and enjoys a fuss.
