Could you help unwanted, neglected and abused animals by donating residual client account balances to us?

Donating your unclaimed dormant client accounts

Mayhew is asking solicitors to make a real difference to the lives of animals in need by donating unclaimed dormant client accounts to us. This process is simple, supported by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), and could raise a significant amount to help dogs, cats and communities in need while achieving your corporate social responsibility goals.

The SRA rules that firms must make ‘reasonable’ efforts to contact the client account holder before funds can be released. Solicitors are able to donate outstanding balances of up to £500 per client relating to untraced clients to charity without getting prior written approval.

Provided you have authority from the SRA, you are also able to pay amounts over £500. Mayhew will then send you an indemnity letter, outlining our commitment to repay any client balance, should that client be found at a later date.

    Following any donation, Mayhew will:

    • Send a letter and certificate of thanks
    • Provide a supporter badge for your website

    How your donation could help

£50 could help a pet and their owner in crisis

£150 could provide a TheraPaws visit to a care home or hospital

£250 could train an overseas vet

    Who we are

We are an animal welfare charity working to improve the lives of dogs, cats and the people in our communities – at our Home in London and internationally.
