FAQs

I can offer a cat a foster home – what next?

If you’re ready to open your heart and home to a cat through foster care, here are the next steps:

1.  Submit an application form here. It’s best to give yourself at least fifteen minutes so you have enough time to fill in all the required fields. This helps us get to know you and your reasons for wanting to foster.

2. Once you’ve applied, our team will be in touch if you’re a good fit to be a Mayhew foster carer.

3. If everyone is happy, we will then request two references & arrange a home visit to ensure your home is safe and secure for a foster cat.

4. Once you’ve finished these steps, it will then be time to start fostering! Our team might have a cat for you straight away, or they will be in touch when there is a cat that might need your help.

5. Enjoy the rewarding experience of fostering and knowing that you’re helping to change a life in need.
