Affectionate Kobe is an intelligent, playful and happy boy who is looking to join his forever family. He can take a little bit of time to warm up to new people, but this doesn’t take long after a few treats! Once he’s built a bond, his sweet personality shines through. He is a fun-loving character who enjoys playing with his toys but also enjoys his snooze time. He loves going for walks, he can show some frustrated behaviours around other dogs so wears a muzzle as a safety precaution. Ideally, we would like to find him a semi-rural home where he can enjoy his walks without bumping into lots of other dogs. Kobe is a very special boy who has won the hearts of everyone at Mayhew. He will make a fantastic companion for that lucky person willing to open their heart and home to him.
Read moreKobe is looking for a calm, semi–rural home with no young children. He could live with sensible teenagers of 14+ providing they have lived with a dog before and will give him space when needed. He can be a bit of a worried boy at times, especially around other dogs, so needs a person or family who will be understanding of his needs and will be committed to continuing his training and socialisation. He will need to wear a muzzle when out and about and be walked on a long line when in the park as opposed to being fully off lead. His new owners will receive three free 1-2-1 sessions with our Mayhew Clinical Animal Behaviourist to guide them. The first session will be on the day of collection. Whilst at Mayhew, Kobe has had entropion surgery. This is common for the breed, removing excess skin so that his eyelid was lower down, meaning he’s more comfortable and finds it easier to see. Kobe has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
