Elena

Elena is a really sweet girl who desperately wants to make friends. She is very smart and even when worried of her handlers she has been keen to learn and picks up things quickly. She would really thrive from the confidence building and mental stimulation of trick training and games. When taking on Elena, care givers will be embarking on a journey that will be incredibly rewarding as she grows in confidence and starts to take steps into a world that is still very new to her. Care givers will need to keep goals small and realistic and be prepared for the journey to take a long time. Elena will be a wonderful project dog who has a lot of love to give and can’t wait to show it!

Other Notes

Elena is looking for an owner who is at home for most of the day and will build up the time she is left alone slowly. She is looking for a home without too many visitors and no visiting young children. She can live with older teenagers as long as they give her the space she needs. She could potentially be introduced to living with a steady, tolerant dog role model who will help support her as she builds confidence. Elena needs someone who will dedicate their time to continuing her training and building her self-confidence. Time spent outside the house and garden will need to be built up slowly and an owner may need to accept that she may be a dog who never gets to the point where she is comfortable walking on the street, for this reason an enclosed, private garden is essential. She has had a dental descale and polish, been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worm treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Lastly, every dog adopted from us will go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance.
