Boba is a dinky little lady who will steal your heart. She is a playful soul who likes to live life to the full and will truly have a huge impact on your life. For one so small she really is a mighty character who will enjoy lots of fuss and cuddles the more she gets to know people. She has her sensitive side but when she feels safe you see her blossom and you can't help but smile when Boba is in town. This cheeky girl loves to play and is a quirky spirit that needs love and affection and she'll be forever grateful. She would prefer a more grown-up home where she can rule the roost and have you under her paw in no time. So, if Boba is your cup of tea, keep reading to see if you could be her purr-fect match and give her the fur-ever home she deserves...
Boba arrived at Mayhew at the start of November after she was found abandoned in a crate in the Park. She has been behaviourally assessed by our cattery staff and given any medical treatment required by our veterinary team. All cats leave our care microchipped, neutered and have been given flea and worming treatment as well as any vaccinations (at least first). Lastly, every cat adopted from us will also go home with 4 weeks free pet insurance. Boba is an unusually small cat for her age. We have taken bloods to check things out and all was fine. She will likely always be small and has been putting on weight and improving more and more with some love and TLC.
I am usually a foster mum for mums and kittens but when I heard Boba's story - I had to have her in my home as she was such a special case. At first she was very timid and hid away for a few days but after lots of talking softly and reassurance this darling girl really came out of her shell and now approaches me for constant fuss. What you put in you get out with this special girl and although she looks like a 9-week-old kitten the vets say she is at least 12 months - I have truly realised that great things do come in very dinky and small packages. Boba is incredibly bright - She must have adopted street smarts and savvy before coming to Mayhew and is a real chatterbox. She wants to be with me all the time and follows me from room-to-room. She can still be nervous at sudden noises or movement but also insists on knowing where her 'Special Humans' are. She's very protective and brave. She seems to risk assesses everything and needs someone who will let her be a baby and teach her that life can be fun, kind and safe. It seems she never had a kitten-hood and now just loves games and toys; She started off chasing her tail as she must never had had toys before but now loves her fishy catnip toy and loves to 'bunny-hop' it. She has also adopted a fake tulip flower which she treats as her 'baby', and sleeps with it. Everyone who meets her says she looks like a cartoon cat with her big eyes and small frame a bit like the one from the Felix advert just smaller and speaking of TV she is very interested in seeing what’s on the box and would make a great telly companion if you can hear anything over her very loud purr. If you are successful in adopting Boba I promise you will have hit the jackpot. She just needs love and a stable home. She's an angel in disguise.
