Little Teddy arrived at Mayhew with a hereditary disease that meant his left hind leg was in very poor condition. Sadly, the only option was to amputate.
Thankfully he quickly recovered from surgery, which meant our team could focus on helping Teddy feel less afraid around people and other dogs.
Now he’s able to build strong bonds with people he trusts – and this clever boy has learnt so much in his training!

Sweet Stitch was abandoned with a note from her owner, explaining that they couldn't afford to care for her.
We took Stitch in and made sure she received all the treatment she needed.
This sweet and gentle girl can be shy at first – but as soon as she feels ready to meet you, she’ll happily come over for a cuddle!
Thanks to the support of people like you, we can help cats like Stitch come out of their shell.
When Tilly first arrived, she was shaking with fear. Tilly barked at strangers, loud noises, and anything else she found too stressful.
Our behavioural team has helped Tilly make great progress and she's finding more confidence every day.
Now, she loves getting attention from people she knows and trusts – and is becoming much friendlier with other dogs too!
Thanks to the support of people like you, we can reassure dogs like Tilly that the world isn't a scary place.
