Gorgeous Zeusy is an affectionate and sensitive soul who has won the hearts of everyone at Mayhew. He’s a sensitive boy who is one of life’s worriers and he can become defensive around strangers when startled. When introduced properly he makes friends very quickly, and with people he knows and trusts he’s extremely affectionate. He’s super playful and active, he’s always up for a game with his toys, and will optimistically greet you with a toy in his mouth hoping for a game of fetch. He’s also very intelligent, wants to please and learns new cues quickly.

How Rehoming WorksZeusy is an athletic and strong dog who is looking for an equally active owner. Someone who is experienced with dogs, having owned large breeds before, is knowledgeable about dog behaviour and has researched his breed type. He's responded so well to training while with us and he is now ready to find someone who has the time, patience and willingness to continue this training, building up his self confidence, and will work with a dog trainer. He’ll need to wear a muzzle and longline on walks as a safety measure in case startled by strangers. Ideally, we’d like to find him a rural or semi-rural home, away from the hustle and bustle of city life, where he can enjoy his walks in quieter surroundings. Zeusy will make an extremely rewarding and fun-loving companion for the right person or family. He’ll need an all adult home, without too many visitors and no visiting young children. His potential adopter will need to meet him a few times to build up a bond before taking him home. If you have the time to give this loyal and loving boy the home he truly deserves, he’ll be sure to replay your efforts tenfold! Zeusy has been microchipped, vaccinated, is up to date with flea and worm treatment and will be neutered before he is rehomed. He has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed.
