Sweet Tiny is an affectionate and chatty girl with lots of character. She loves nothing more than cosying up on her favourite person's lap after a good game of fetch and is always up for a treat or two! Tiny thrives in the company of people and is looking for a loving retirement home where she can be around her people most of the time. Despite her age, she is still full of beans and enjoys her walks. She is sociable with other dogs but will tell them off if she feels they are too much for her so is looking for an owner who will be able to read her body language, reassure and guide her away when needed. Tiny is a great girl who can't wait to join her new owner or family!
Read moreTiny can live in a ground floor flat with direct access to a private garden but can be vocal at times so this should be taken into consideration. Tiny can live with sensible children of 10+ providing they have lived with a dog before and will give her space when needed. She could also potentially live with a dog confident cat. Tiny becomes stressed when left alone so is looking for a home where there will be someone around most of the time. Tiny arrived at Mayhew with mammary lumps and a history of hind limb lameness. X-rays were taken of her spine and hips and Tiny was found to have hip dysplasia. All dogs with hip dysplasia develop secondary osteoarthritis of the affected joint. She is also showing arthritis within her spine. She is now on a monthly antibody injection to alleviate her pain. Tiny has also had some mammary lumps that were found to be a mixture of benign and low grade malignant, which have now been surgically removed. Adopters will need to monitor this area for the possible development of any new growths and discuss any concerns with their vet. Tiny has been neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and is up to date with flea and worming treatments. She has also been medically and behaviourally assessed.
